But there is a smooth side to San Diego Beer Drinking when it's paired with a perfect match: the fish taco.

A light golden ale or lager goes great with fish tacos, which usually feature fried whitefish, grilled wahoo or marinated mahi-mahi. Cabbage and Mexican white sauce add a crispness that complements beers such as Stone Pale Ale, Kona Longboard Lager and Karl Strauss Endless Summer.

Two of the best places to get fish tacos and beer are in my favorite neighborhood, Ocean Beach. Try Tower 2 or South Beach Bar & Grill ( note: South Beach is also known for its sexy lady folk which also pair well with golden ales and lagers).

Here is a great blog posting that tells the truth about fish tacos: Alice Q. For instance, Mexican beers are often light and acidic, which naturally pairs well with spicy Mexican food, while Japanese lagers are a good compliment to sushi. Conveniently, most ethnic restaurants typically offer several traditional beers to make your pairings easy." A perfect lead in to a soon-to-come post on a Beer and Food Pairing Case Study: San Diego.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kevin_Gray

Welcome to The Beer and Food Pairing Blog

Welcome to The Beer and Food Pairing Blog!

Please follow this blog as we are brand new and looking forward to sharing exciting news, tips and recipes in the world of beer and food pairing.

The inspiration for this blog came from an event that one of the authors used to hold in Chico, California (home of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and Butte Creek Brewery) called “The Stout and Trout Homebrew Competition”. Interestingly, they were only 19 years old, much too young (at least here in the USA) to collect the award in person.

When the glossy red ribbon arrived in the mail, we opened the last two Muddy Porters to celebrate.

It's great to meet you, please sign visit The Beer and Food Pairing Blog!

WD
